What Can I Expect At a Typical Service?
Our services are fairly relaxed and informal. We do follow a set order of service each Sunday that includes worship songs, Bible readings, and prayers, after which we read Scripture and hear it explained and applied to our daily lives. We also celebrate communion each week but if you are a seeker or are currently wrestling with unbelief, there is certainly no pressure to partake. Our service will begin at 3:30 pm, and will be finished by 5:00 pm. Afterwards, you are invited to stick around for fellowship or to connect with our Pastor. We welcome everyone and anyone who would like to attend our church service.
You don’t have to be a believer or a member to worship with us. You don’t have to know the lyrics to the songs or understand the Bible lesson. We welcome all people regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey.
Do You Have Children’s Programs?
We love kids at SojoKids! We will provide Nursery service for babies 0-36 months and a SojoKids program (Sunday School) for children aged 3 to grade 4. SojoKids starts just before the sermon begins (about 30 minutes after the service starts), so your child can participate in musical worship with your family and the rest of the congregation.
Kids who join SojoKids will be invited to leave with their group leader just after the sermon ends (before communion). There is a worksheet that is available for the kids to fill out during the service so that they can actively listen to the sermon.
Do not worry if you have fussy kids, or kids who may want to stay with you during the service, children are welcome to stay at any time.
What Kind of Songs Do You Sing?
We have a mix of contemporary worship songs and classic hymns as well. The lyrics to the songs will be available in a printed bulletin, so don’t worry if you don’t know the words.
